MLX90421 Melexis Triaxis 3D Linear & Rotary Position Sensor Gen.III
Cost-effective | ASIL-B | optionally with analog or PWM output | +160°C
The MLX90421 is an ASIL-B capable, absolute measuring linear and rotary position sensor with Melexis Triaxis technology and IMC (Integrated Magnetic Concentrator) structure based on the Hall effect for cost-sensitive industrial or automotive applications.
The position sensor MLX90421 comes with excellent functional safety as well as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) characteristics and supports operating temperatures up to 160°C.
It is suitable for non-contact linear and rotary position sensing as well as 1/2 joysticks or travel levers in automotive, medical or industrial applications. Functionally compatible with previous generation Triaxis sensors.
The standard/legacy versions are functionally compatible with the previous generation.
A simple axial or diametral magnet is sufficient for control.
