Melexis Triaxis Linear & Rotary Position Sensor
ASIL-Ready, PCB-Less, Multipoint, Single DIE with integrated
circuitry (DMP-4), SENT, -40...+150°C
Melexis Triaxis 3D Linear & Rotary Position Sensor MLX90366
in dual-mold package including external basic circuitry for
PCB-less design (4-pin, single DIE)
ASIL-capable, absolute measuring linear and rotary position sensor with
Melexis Triaxis technology and IMC-disk (Integrated Magnetic Concentrator)
based on the Hall effect. Suitable for non-contact linear and rotary
position sensing and 1/2 joysticks or travel levers.
The function is based on the Linear & Rotary Position Sensor MLX90367
with SENT interface according to SAE J2716-2010.
Thanks to the wide range of diagnostic options, this sensor is suitable
for use in applications with increased functional safety requirements according
to ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 resp. SIL or ASIL (safety manual available upon request).
A simple axial or diametral magnet is sufficient for control.
The special feature of this sensor is the integrated basic
circuitry with four capacitors.
This means, there is no need for a printed circuit board and the sensor
can be wired directly - for example, welded onto a copper carrier.

The ICs are unprogrammed and can only be reprogrammed or adapted to the magnetic design by a Melexis Programmer PTC-04.
