Melexis Triaxis 3D Magnetometer IC
ASIL-capable, absolute measuring linear, rotary and joystick position sensor with
Melexis Triaxis technology and IMC-disk (Integrated Magnetic Concentrator) based on
the Hall effect. Suitable for non-contact position sensing of a magnet.
The configuration of the mapping (X/Y/Z), the calculation formula (2D/3D),
K-factors, mismatch and orthogonality as well as other parameters can be defined in
the EEPROM via full-duplex SPI interface.
A simple axial or diametral magnet is sufficient for control.
The MLX90363 is already designed as a Safety Element out-of-Context (SEooC) according to safety aspects that meet the SIL or ASIL qualification of the application with respect to ISO26262. A safety manual is available upon request.
